Here we are.
The US economy is too big to fail and it is going to fail. Now what.
It is only natural for Americans to look back at the founding of the US and reflect on what went wrong and to search for remedies to today’s malaise.
“These are the times that try men’s souls.”
“Give me liberty or give me death!”
One could argue what we miss in 2025 are good wordsmiths. Or, perhaps, just a sense of romanticism. Social media has sucked the blood out of vibrant wording. What is missing is any attempt to capture our imagination. Instead, we just publicly air our anger and dismay.
But, even if we had romantic wordsmiths today then what would the say? They’d say, the American Revolution was a lot of things, but mostly unlucky luck.
“Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.” – Lucius Seneca
In 1776 there was no preparation, just opportunity. This is unlucky luck. The colonies blindly stumbled about between 1776 and 1789 looking for answers as to what comes next. Sound familiar? We are also looking for answers as to what comes next. In 1776 they did not have a PLAN, or previously learned action negotiations. We don’t have a PLAN today either*.
*Except Irreni World Scale, of course.
There was a semblance of a PLAN though. The US Constitution is not the first constitution. John Adams had just written the first constitution for the colony of Massachusetts. A constitution was created for the Revolutionary war period and another after.
The lesson here is that the US Constitution was not agreed upon and adopted before the war, before the revolution. There is too much at stake to make this mistake today. The US is too big to fail. All the economies of the world are global. Major economical upheavals will reverberate around the world. It is irresponsible to not consider world ramifications when undertaking major economic transitions.
There is no PLAN. There is no PLAN for what comes after Trump. The fantasy that Democrats will just run the government correctly is just another form of the MAGA fantasy.
If you are looking for intuition then this is it. We need a PLAN. Further intuition is that PLAN needs to resolve the flaws in the existing system. This implies that the new PLAN will be much more sophisticated than our existing US Constitution.
But pretty much that’s the end of the line for intuition. The PLAN for what comes next will be an amalgamation, a mixture, of our latest understanding based in science for:
- Culture
- Politics
- Economics
- Mass Communication
- Human Behavior
- Computing
Toffler said that the illiterate of this 21st Century are those who cannot learn, unlearn and re-learn. At the heart of this notion is learn science, unlearn intuition, and re-learn science without intuition.
Jordan Peterson, and conservatives in general, defy evolution. They do so by promoting that human nature is constant, fixed and cannot change. This notion of immutable nature is used to primarily promote hierarchy and societies built around hierarchy.
Hierarchy is literally killing us. Channeling my inner Christopher Hitchens, hierarchy is our worst first attempt at social structure. Hierarchy is wired into human nature. It is found in all cultures independent of time and space.
Hierarchy is to social structure as the Sun revolving around the Earth is to science. They satisfy our intuition. However, they also limit advancement.
Do we need to advance? Yes. Why? Because science has advanced and up-ended social structures based upon hierarchy. One way to convince yourself of this is to consider two extreme advances in science that are on the horizon: unlimited lifespan and genetic engineering. If left unchecked then hierarchy will most assuredly make unlimited lifespans and genetic engineering exclusive to the rich and top of the hierarchy. The elite will become relative gods. Trump is a buffoon, but once genetic engineering takes off the elite will be much smarter. The elite will be able to convince people they are divine by the gap in human capability. Hierarchy needs to be replaced before this happens.
But we don’t need to look to future extremes of science to be convinced hierarchy is failed beyond the point of ever working again. Consider absolute power corrupts absolutely. Further consider that a success becomes a failure when that success overwhelms the design of the original system. In this case the checks-and-balances of the US Constitution were never considered in the situations the US finds itself in today of being the wealthiest country on the planet or the world’s most powerful miltary by far. The financial success and military power of the US has overwhelmed the checks-and-balances in the US Constitution. Corruption has overrun the government. One of the characteristics of corruption is that it cannot undo itself. The US is corrupt beyond repair and further the US Constitution cannot function as intended going forward.
Now what. Irreni World Scale is what. For you personally, my dear reader, that means joining an MGO.
