Hi! Today, for some reason, I have a handful of new Bluesky followers. So, I thought I’d take a moment and introduce the reason for my account: Irreni World Scale. Well, I also have a tendency to post as much art that appeals to me as possible. 🙂

I think one of the hardest lessons people are going to learn is that civic duty can no longer rest on just paying taxes. You have to do something. We all do. Just giving money to politicians has run its course. It was always destined to be this way. Give people money with no strings attached and corruption ensues. It is actually impressive the US Government has made it this far without collapsing under its own corruption weight.

We need to start governing ourselves to reduce the reliance on Federal, State and Local governments. But how?

A couple of things need to be understood before thinking about next steps. First the reason only paying taxes as the primary civic responsibility is failing is hierarchy. Absolute power corrupting absolutely is the fatal flaw in hierarchy. Hierarchy means money and resources are controlled by a few or even one. In the US we have 535 people controlling the money for 346 million. Soon that will be one controlling person to one million citizens. Hierarchy must always succumb to corruption due to this. Second our lives have lost meaning. Most of us now are just cogs in a very large wheel and our contributions to society are so disconnected from immediate feedback that our paycheck is our only meaning.

So, taxes are our sole civic responsibility and paychecks our sole meaning. These two outcomes of modern society are killing us and stripping our lives of meaning.

To fix this we need to ditch hierarchy and embrace mesh society. Irreni World Scale is mesh society. On my Bluesky feed I often post a tongue-in-check reminder, “I have all the answers.” What I mean by that is that exiting hierarchy and entering mesh society is the foundation for dealing with all the political problems we have today.

The MGO, or micro-governing organization, is a mesh society node. You never stack them in a hierarchy. They only ever combine horizontally as a growing mesh. The MGO is fixed in size: thirty people. This small size means everyone is important to that MGO. The MGO is sovereign. Today that means a corporation with by-laws. Tomorrow MGOs will replace all existing governments, replace all hierarchy, and everyone’s primary governing organization is their immediate MGO.

MGOs are survival units. Think of them as the starship Enterprise, without replicators and transporters. MGOs are required to have a one-year survival supply of all necessities: food, water, shelter, and energy. Once an MGO has built out their version of the starship Enterprise, then it can join in projects. Projects are how MGOs combine to do things like build iPhones that require more than thirty people.

No more nations. No more corporations. No more capitalism. This is going to take well over a hundred years to happen world wide. But, today you can create an MGO. Become independent with one year’s survival supply, and become less dependent on government.
