Martin Luther King Jr. is oft quoted when he said, “The long arc of history bends towards justice.”
He is wrong. The long arc of history bends towards desire. Eventually humans will have total control over nature. That control will allow us to implement pure desire. For example, genetic engineering will allow us to create only highly intelligent healthy babies. That may take a million years but it will happen.
An unmanaged long arc of history bending towards desire means that the rich, the few, and the powerful will gaslight the population into wanting only what the rich desire, or keep the masses in check by limiting their nature.
I first read this concept in Roger Zelazny’s, “Lord of Light”. This book won the Hugo Award in 1969 for Science Fiction. It is a short book well worth the read.
Today conservatives and the religious are gaslighting everyone that humans will always be limited to our nature as it exists today for all of eternity. This is especially true when it comes to hierarchy where the few and the one rule the masses until now. The rich ruling the masses is a hill the rich will die on. That is their desire and our current nature. Humans naturally tack to hierarchy until now.
Irreni Society eliminates hierarchy. Hierarchy is not life’s desire because hierarchy is inefficient. The few and the one will never be capable enough to rule the masses given our brains today. In “Lord of Light”, Zelazny speculates that genetic engineering will be limited to the few and the one. The rich. The rich then will literally become like gods with their superior genetics relative to genetics-by-birth we have all been subject too until now.
Humans are on the brink of cracking the genetic code. Humans are also on the brink of stopping aging. Both of these are game changers for society.
Society needs to prepare to inoculate itself from the rich imposing their desire on everyone else due to genetic superiority and unlimited life-spans.
Irreni Society inoculates humans against the rich imposing their desire by eliminating the one aspect of our nature the rich rely on: hierarchy.
The Irreni Society will have over 200 million sovereign governments given today’s nine-billion population once it is fully implemented. MGOs have on-hand a year’s supply of food, water and energy and can withdraw from projects if projects become too hierarchical in their power structure when combining MGOs.
What is our collective desire? Our collective ideology?
There is one, and only one: life goes on.
Life goes on is our collective ideology. From that we derive a corollary: Everyone in. Everyone’s life must go on. Further life is not just existence, but quality of life is the objective. Quality of life for everyone is our collective desire or ideology that history is bending towards.
Life goes on includes all life: animals, plants, etc. Humans currently have the distinct responsibility to ensure this for all life forms. Before we can ensure all life goes on we need to get human desire aligned with life goes on.
How does one apply the long arc of history bending towards desire?
Here is a thought experiment that will help get you started.
Life goes on means the universe must go on. The universe is predicted to die a heat death in trillions of years. That means over the course of the next trillion years life must stop the universe from expanding.
A more immediate demise to life is that the Andromeda galaxy is on a collision course with the Milky Way. So we need to manage that.
And then of course before that our Solar System is predicted to expire when the sun expands. So we need to stop the Solar System from dying by stopping the sun from expanding.
Then before that we need to ensure asteroids don’t wipe out human life on Earth.
From this thought experiment then we realize we need to start expanding control of our solar system, expand into space.
This objective of life goes on for everyone is why we will eventually go to Mars. Elon Musk and his ilk want to go to Mars only to preserve life for the rich.
Humans will eventually control all of nature is the long arc of history. However, the rich will do everything to hoard that control form themselves and to control the masses. This is why we must implement Irreni Society. Now.
